Founder Kenneth “Trip” Johnson has always been passionate about medicine and worked as an EMT, emergency room physician, and for the U.S. Army Special Forces for decades. During this time, however, he slowly became disillusioned with the standard American health care system. From the warped influences of pharmaceutical and insurance companies to the lack of nutritional information or alternative therapies, he decided there had to be a better way.

And so, Mihalo Medical was born.

A history of honor.

Mihalo Medical draws it’s name from Andrew Britton-Mihalo, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the service of freedom in 2012. The name rooted in “Mahalo,” means gratitude and appreciation. Mihalo Medical embodies a deep commitment to honoring Andrew’s legacy through compassionate care and unwavering dedication to improving lives—a guiding principle for all we do.
